The Boston Consulting Group (BCG) developed plans to relocate Palestinians from Gaza to Somalia and Somaliland for Israeli business interests. The plan included other countries like Egypt, UAE, and Jordan.
The project stemmed from BCG’s involvement with the US-backed Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF), which faced criticism for civilian deaths at aid sites.
Reports say Israeli and US officials discussed relocating Palestinians to East Africa in exchange for recognition of Somaliland’s independence.
The plan sparked outrage and accusations of ethnic cleansing. BCG publicly distanced itself, saying the partner in charge was instructed not to proceed.
BCG projected that 25% of Gazans might relocate, generating $4.7 billion in economic benefits for host countries over four years.
BCG’s involvement began via US security contractor Orbis, linked to ex-CIA officer Phil Reilly, now heading a security firm protecting GHF hubs.
The Tony Blair Institute also contributed to a Gaza post-war project including “Trump Riviera” plans, using BCG’s financial models.
