A young man was shot and killed on Sunday outside the Daynile district headquarters in Mogadishu.
The victim, named Said Mustaf Ahmed, was shot in the upper body by an alleged soldier and died instantly at the scene.
A witness said the suspect, believed to be a member of the district’s security team, fled the area immediately after the shooting.
The motive behind the killing remains unclear. Security forces arrived shortly after the incident and launched an operation.
No arrests have been made so far, but a manhunt for the culprit is ongoing.
Local officials in Daynile could not be reached for comment.
