US strike hits civilian houses in Somalia – Al Shabaab

MOGADISHU – Somali armed group Al Shabaab says US air strike has razed down civilian houses in Jinaale town,  about 94 km from Somali capital Mogadishu.

The al Qaeda inspired group says the strike was conducted after the group’s militias clashed with joint Somali, US forces near the town.

In a statement aired by Al Shabaab mouthpiece said the coalition troops called for air support following the clash overnight.

Neither Somalia nor US military commented on the attack.
