UNDP chief meets with mayor of Mogadishu

MOGADISHU, Somalia – UNDP Resident Representative, Mason Jocelyn, was welcomed by Mayor of Mogadishu, Abdirahman Osman, who is also governor of Benadir region in the Somali capital, Mogadishu.

Osman and Jocelyn held joint talks in which were discussed on the partnership between UNDP and Banadir region in delivering development programmes in Mogadishu.

Mr. Osman says he had a fruitful meeting with UNDP Representative for Somalia and discussed a number of issues including Durable Solution to the Internally Displaced People.

He said the meeting was also addressed security, strengthening the partnership and ways that could create jobs for young people in Somalia.
