Somalia:UAE carts military supplies from Mogadishu

MOGADISHU – The United Arab Emirates has started carting all military supplies and other key equipments from the seaport in Mogadishu, amid strained relations between UAE and Somalia.

Emirati officials and soldiers were on Sunday seen hauling its military equipments to a cargo ship docked at seaport of Mogadishu, according to sources.

The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has ended a military training program in Somalia in response to the seizure of millions of dollars.

Somalia’s relations with UAE are strained by a dispute between Qatar and Saudi Arabia because Mogadishu has refused to take sides.
