The US embassy in Somalia has warned of possible terror attacks in the country, especially in the capital city of Mogadishu.
The Embassy said potential attacks are imminent on multiple locations, including Aden Adde International Airport.
All movements of U.S. Embassy personnel in Mogadishu have been cancelled until further notice.
“We’re monitoring credible threats of imminent attacks across Somalia, including Aden Adde Airport”, the embassy said.
The U.S. Dept. of State’s Level 4 “Do Not Travel” advisory for Somalia remains due to terrorism, crime, and unrest.
U.S. citizens are also urged to stay vigilant as terrorists may carry out attacks with little or no warning.
The targets are believed to be airports, seaports, government buildings, hotels, and crowded areas in Mogadishu.
