U.S. military has carried out an airstrike against ISIS militants in 75km south of Bosaso on Saturday in coordination with the Federal Government of Somalia.
The strike aimed to disrupt ISIS, a known threat to U.S. forces, which has repeatedly shown the will and capability to attack.
AFRICOM, alongside Somali Armed Forces continues efforts to degrade ISIS’s ability to plan attacks threatening U.S. homeland and personnel abroad.
