MOGADISHU –Twine bomb explosions targeting a tea-shop has killed at least two people on Thursaday in Somalia’s Elwak town.
Four other people at shop were also injured, a tea-shop owner, Aisha Mohamed said.
Mohamed says the victims were taken into hospital.
She added that the tea-shop located near police station in the town.
The main target of the bomb attack believed to be police soldiers who often come to the shop, but no soldier was killed or injured in the attack.
There was no immediate claim of responsibility for the bomb explosion.
But, such attacks are often carried out by Al Qaeda inspired group Al Shabaab battling Somali army forces and African Union troops in Somalia
Al-Shabab has been waging an insurgency in Somalia for more than 10 years.
However, a 22,000-strong African Union force is in the country to help the government fight the al-Qaeda-linked militants.
