Two men said to be Kenyan and Somali nationals have been executed by the Somalia-based Al shabaab militants for alleged espionage on Wednesday afternoon in the southern town of Jilib, sources said.
Abdullah Daleel Muse, 28, the Kenyan citizen was convicted of aiding Kenyan troops identify Al shabaab leaders targets in Somalia, while the Somali national Mohamed Ibrahim, 30, has been accused of MI6 spy.
According to the sources in Jilib, an Al-Shabaab court found the Kenyan who was a militant fighter guilty of spying for the Kenyan troops fighting the militants in middle Jubba region of southern Somalia.
