Two Al Shabaab members executed by firing squad in Mogadishu
MOGADISHU – Somali military court has executed two Al Shabaab members by firing squad on Monday after convicting of guilty of killing a leading elder in the capital Mogadishu.
The deputy prosecutor Mumin Hussein Abdullahi says the two men – Hassan Ali Hassan 25, and Abdirahman Isse Ali 22 had shot and killed a leading elder, Hilowle Hefow Hussein in 2016 in Mogadishu.
Last year, Somali military court executed truck bomb mastermind that killed 500 people at KM5 in the capital of Mogadishu.
The Islamist militant group, which is fighting to overthrow the Western-backed government, vowed to rump up its attacks on diplomatic areas in Somalia.
