Top ministry of sport and SFF officials to receive Somali Diaspora footballers at Mogadishu airport

Mareeg.com-Somali ministry of sport has arranged a high level reception for a football team representing Somali Diaspora community who are due in Mogadishu on Wednesday.
The minister for youth and Sports of the federal republic of Somalia Hon. Khadija Mohamed Diriye, the ministry’s director general Isaq Hashi, Somali Football Federation president Abdiqani Said Arab, his deputy Ali Abdi Mohamed and other officials from the ministry and Somali FA will receive the team at Aden Abdulle International Airport upon arrival on Wednesday.
“Some of the main objectives for inviting the Somali expatriate footballers are to give the youthful boys the opportunity to come and learn the situation in their homeland and to create integration and friendship amongst them and their brothers in the country” said Shaafici Islaw, a spokesman for Somali football federation.
The expatriate footballers are mostly from the UK, but also include some who are coming from other Western countries including the United States, Norway and Sweden, according to a press release from Somali Football Federation.
