Massive fire broke out Bakara Market In Somali capital Mogadishu which started earlier Monday morning eyewitness confirmed the incident to Mareeg Media.
Smoke billowing from the market could be seen covering mostly the city as the firefighters from local Businesses companies and Banadir regional administration fought their way in to contain the blaze.
Mohamed Hussein, a businessman at Bakara market told Mareeg over the phone that he saw huge distributions caused by the massive fire .
“I saw three wounded people and huge distribution. The wounded people were rushed to Madina Hospital in Mogadishu”, he said.
Mogadishu’s Mayer Yousuf Hassan Jim’ale, and several Somali government officials reached the scene and said property worth millions of US dollars were destroyed by the fire.
