Suspected US strike hits ISIL targets in Somalia
QANDALA – A suspected American drone strike has targeted Islamic State militants near Qandala town in northeast Somalia.
The strike was carried out at targets held by pro-ISIL group’s fighters near the town, causing untold number of casualties, according to regional military officer, who asked to be unnamed.
Qandale, a town on the Red Sea became the first piece of land controlled by pro-ISIL forces in Somalia.
It is remains unclear US military carried out the attack.
