Sudanese Ambassador to Somalia Discuss Bilateral Cooperation with Local Governments of Mogadishu and Khartoum

Mogadishu 26, Feb, 2019— H.E. Abdirahman Omar Osman (Eng.Yarisow), Mayor of Mogadishu and governor of Banadir Regional Administration, has welcomed Sudanese Ambassador to Somalia, Mr. Khalafallah Mustafa, to his office.The governor, who has congratulated the Ambassador on his recent appointment as an Ambassador to Somalia, has assured him of warm reception from his administration and from the entire residents living in Mogadishu, during his tenure as an Ambassador to Somalia in which he is exercising his national duties.The Sudanese Ambassador to Somalia has called upon the governor to return the land that belonged to the embassy of his country that the former Central government of Somalia had allocated for them of which the governor of Banadir has accepted to return it to them.On the other hand, the two sides have come into a consensus to revive their cooperation and collaboration between their two Local Governments in Khartoum and Mogadishu, while the two will pave the way for sharing their expertise and plans relating to the environment, as well as working on reviving the city`s beautification and prioritizing basic necessities and services for all.Eng. Yarisow has thanked the Sudanese government and its society for their role in providing the Somali students with educational opportunities, since their country accommodates thousands of Somali students who pursue their studies at Sudanese universities, while some Sudanese educators still remain among those teaching the Somali students at some educational institutions in the city.
