Somalia:Security Force Prevented intended mass killing of terrorist in the capital Mogadishu
MOGADISHU, Somalia – At least five passer-by have been killed and scores injured in suicide car bomb explosion followed by heavy gun attack in Somali capital Mogadishu.
The explosion targeted at Ministry of Labor headquarters in the capital, and then heavily armed fighters stormed into building, starting randomly shooting, a witness said.
He says heavy fighting between security guards and armed gunmen is ensuing.It seems the security guard has successfully minimised the terrorist intended destruction
Rescue workers evacuated scores people, who injured in the ongoing attack.
Somali security forces started an operation to siege at the ministry.
Death toll could likely rise as the attack still continues, according to security officials who spoke on condition of anonymity.
Somali armed group Al- Shabaab has claimed the responsibility for Saturday’s suicide explosion.
The group ramps up its deadly attacks on government installations and hotels and public gatherings in the capital of Mogadishu.
The al Qaeda linked Al Shabaab has been fighting for more than ten years in Somalia
