Somaliland leadership welcomes President Farmaajo’s apology for the 1988 atrocities

MOGADISHU, Somalia – The President of breakaway state of Somaliland Muse Bihi Abdi has on Tuesday welcomed the recent apology given by Somali President Mohamed Abdullahi Farmajo for 80s atrocities by previous government of Mohamed Siyad Barre.

Bihi delivering speech to the parliament has clarified his recent meeting with Somali president Ethiopia’s capital, Addis Ababa.

He says the meeting was discussed ways Abiy to mediate between Somaliland and Federal government of Somalia.

“Farmajo’s apology was “unexpected and surprise” and it’s a step towards peace, cooperation and potential meaningful talks between #Somaliland and FGS,” says Bihi.
