MOGADISHU, Somalia – The chairman of Lower House Parliament of Federal Republic of Somalia, Mursal Mohamed Sheikh has made changes in the house Financial and Budget committee, after weeks of political turmoil in the capital of Mogadishu.

The move comes after committee declined to discuss the 2019 budget over controversial report of alleged fraud of $42M in the Somalia’s finance ministry last month, according to a statement seen by Mareeg Online.

The financial group’s report caused that the country’s parliament members to divide into parts which led also a dropped impeachment motion against Somali President Mohamed Abdullahi Mohamed.
