Somalia:JDP leadership receives eligibility certificate

MOGADISHU, Somalia – Somalia’s Justice and Developments Party (JDP)
leadership has officially received an eligibility certificate on
Monday from the country’s chief of electoral commission.

The JDP leadership, Hassan Mohamed Hussein (Mungab) has received a
temporary registration certificate (License) from the electoral
commission after colorful event attended by members of Somali
parliamentarians, politicians and others guests from various regions
in Somalia.

Hussein’s JDP will be among others, those, who will run in the in the
upcoming 2021 leadership election for Somalia.
He served as Mayor of Mogadishu & Governor of the Banaadir region
between 27 February 2014 to 26 October 2015.

Mungab also served as State Minister of Justice between August 2016 to
8 February 2017.

Hussein Mungab also previously served as a chairman in the Somali
Armed Forces’ military court. In that position, he succeeded to
eradicate all insecurity acts and bandits, who extort locals in the
capital of Mogadishu.

During his mayoral office, Hussein is also remembered that Banadir
administration’s implementation of the Fair Housing Reform Program,
and the creation of the National Development Program.
