Somalia: US slams Kismayo attack, 26 killed
MOGADISHU – The United States has strongly condemned a deadly siege at hotel in Kismayo, a town lies some 500km south of the Somali capital, Mogadishu.
The attack started a suicide explosion killed 26 people, including two journalists and foreigners after gunmen stormed into the hotel building in the town.
The US calls the attack as ‘heinous and callous one’.
Somali armed group al Shabaab has claimed the responsibility for Friday’s hotel attack in Kismayo.
Kismayo was preparing to host regional presidential election which slated to take place on nex month.
