MOGADISHU – Two people have been injured when an explosives devices fitted into car has exploded in the heart of Somalia’s capital Mogadishu.

A local aid worker, whose name has not been released, was among the victims after bomb attached into his car exploded near Zobe junction in Mogadishu, a witness said.

There was no immediate claim of responsibility for Wednesday’s explosion in the Somali capital.

A few days earlier, at least 4 people have been killed and several others injured in suicide car bomb explosion near Somali parliament building in Mogadishu.

The attack was claimed by Somali-based group of Al Shabaab battling Western –backed government of Somalia.

The group vowed to step up its deadly attacks against Somali government and African Union troops’ bases and popular eateries in the capital.

The blast comes days after at least 14 people were killed and 10 others wounded in a car bombing near the Weheliye hotel on the capital’s busy Makka Almukarramah road in Somali capital Mogadishu.
