Somalia: Two killed in suicide car bomb in Mogadishu
MOGADISHU, Somalia – At least two people have been killed and three others injured in suicide car bomb explosion in Somali capital Mogadishu.
The explosion caused by car laden with explosives went off on Tuesday near Petroleum Ministry headquarters in the capital, leaving 2 civilians dead, a witness said.
He says rescue workers evacuated 3 other civilians into hospital.
The explosion also damaged neighboring fuel depot and buildings.
The exact target of the attack remains unclear.
There was no immediate claim of responsibility for Tuesday’s suicide bomb explosion in Mogadishu
But, such attacks are often carried out by Al Qaeda linked Al Shabaab.
The group has been fighting for more than ten years to topple the weak-western backed government of Somalia.
