Somalia: Twine blasts hit Mogadishu
MOGADISHU – Twine explosions targeting two security checkpoints, have killed at least six people and injured several others in Somali capital Mogadishu.
Friday’s 1st explosion went off, when suicide bomber blew himself up at army checkpoint near Mogadishu’s airport,a fuel-seller, Faisa Mohamed said.
Mohamed says the bomber had only died the explosion.
A second car bomb explosion targeted at security checkpoint near Banadir junction in the capital, leaving at least 5 people dead, a witness, who asked to be anonymous, said.
Two soldiers were among those killed in suicide bomb attack.
There was no immediate claim of responsibility for the explosions in Somali capital.
The attack comes a day after roadside bomb explosion killed at least five people at Karan neighborhood in Mogadishu.
