Somalia to strengthen its partnership with European Union

MOGADISHU, Somalia – The Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Ahmed Isse Awad, participated in the European Day held in Mogadishu by the EU Delegation to Somalia.

The ceremony was also attended by senior Somali officials, public figures and a number of ambassadors and diplomats accredited to Somalia.

Amb. Ahmed Awad praised Europe’s contributions to development programs in his country, saying that Somalia is working hard to strengthen its partnership with the European Union to move forward.

Somalia and the European Union are linked by close cooperation and a broad and constructive partnership.
