Somalia takes over troops, weapons in Herale town

MOGADISHU, Somalia – The Prime Minister of Somalia Hassan Ali Khaire taken over weapons, battle-wagons and other troops in hand-over ceremony in Heral town of Galgadud region in central Somalia.

Herale community handed over all weapons and soldiers to PM Khaire during his visit to the town.

PM Khaire hailed Herale community’s decision, saying army forces will take part in restoring peace and security in the region.

He also thanked the community for their role and taking part in the process of reconciliation, security in the region.

Mr. Khaire said the new soldiers would be taken into army camps to train and then join into Somali National Army (SNA) forces fighting against al Shabaab.
