BOSASO, Somalia – Unknown gunmen have shot and killed a well-known elder at Mosque in Bosaso town, north of Somalia.
The victim, whose name has been released as Bashir Musa Konte, an elder was gunned down by young men armed with pistols, while he was waiting for Friday prayers, a witness said.
The attackers fled from the crime scene uncaught.
The killers also reportedly hurled a grenade bomb at security checkpoint in the town, causing untold facilities.
Somali regional police started an investigation over the assassination.
