Somalia PM arrives in Garowe , receives warm welcome

MOGADISHU, Somalia – Somalia Prime Minister, Hassan Ali Khaire has paid his first visit to Puntland’s Garowe town.

PM Khaire is accompanied by number of his cabinet ministers and other lawmakers. The delegation led by PM Khaire was warmly welcomed by Puntland leader, Abduweli Mohamed Ali.

Mr. Khaire shook hands with state officials and meet with crowds of residents.

Somali PM Hassan Ali Khaire shook hands with state officials at the airport in Garowe, Nugal.

He is set to have talks with Puntland leader and other regional officials, according to officials, who asked to be anonymous, because of unauthorized to speak on the Media.

The two sides will further discuss on issues concerning security and collaborations with the higher state officials.

Somali PM Khaire will also lay a foundation stone of new projects to develop Puntland.

The security was beefed up as hundreds of regional security forces have been visible on the main streets of the town over the first arrival of country’s PM Hassan Ali Khaire.
