Somalia: Hotel attack victims airlifted to Mogadishu
MOGADISHU – At least 14 people, who were seriously injured in suicide and gun attack on hotel in Kismayo were airlifted to the capital of Mogadishu.
Kismayo, a coastal town lies some 500km south of Somali capital, Mogadishu.
Somalia’s Jubaland Minister of Health Dr. Mursal Khalif says the victims were seriously injured in attack on As-Asey hotel.
Kismayo has seen deadly terror attack on Friday ahead of regional election for presidential leadership.
Friday’s attack was claimed by al Shabaab. The group’s attack killed 28 people, including journalists, foreigners and prominent politicians.
Al Shabaab, an al Qaeda linked group which wants topple the weak-western backed government of Somalia based in Mogadishu.
