MOGADISHU, Somalia – Four people were shot dead and scores left wounded when unknown gunmen opened fire on a café shop in Mogadishu.

The dreadful incident took place last night in Kahda district of Mogadishu, after unidentified men armed with AK-47s started randomly shooting at people who were sipping tea at the café shop, a witness said.

He says four people were killed and several others were wounded in the shooting.

The killers reportedly fled from the crime scene uncaught.

Victim’s relatives believed that the incident related to a vendetta after a renowned elder was assassinated and his two sons injured by unknown gunmen in the district before the mass shooting.

The local authorities did not comment on the incident yet.

But, Somali police launched an operation to hunt down the killers, who escaped after the killing.
