Somalia dismissed rumors claiming its delegates disappeared and sought asylum after ILO labour conference in Geneva.
The Foreign Ministry confirmed all Somali delegates returned home after completing their official duties as mandated.
“These are misleading and unverified stories aimed at discrediting Somalia’s delegation and their professional conduct”, the ministry said.
The ministry urged journalists and social media users to verify information to avoid speculation and act responsibly to protect national credibility and unity.
Somalia reaffirmed its commitment to diplomatic integrity, global engagement, and honest communication in representing the nation’s interests on the international stage.
