Roadside bomb explosion targeting football stadium has killed at least 4 people and injured 10 others in Barawe town, some 180km south of Somalia’s capital Mogadishu.
Thursday’s bomb explosion went off at football stadium, where a game between Elman and SYL sports teams was ongoing, according to deputy regional governor, Abdifatah Haji Abudlle.
Haji confirmed that the explosion killed at least 4 people and injured 10 others, who converged to watch the match.
He says the victims had been taken into hospital.
“It was an improvised explosive device concealed in the stadium, before the match started”, he said.

There was no immediate comment from Al Shabaab on the allegations.
The attack comes after bomb explosion injured two people at Kahda area in the capital of Mogadishu.
