MOGADISHU, Somalia — Somalia’s Foreign Affairs Ministry condemned Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Saar’s unauthorized visit to Hargeisa, calling it a serious sovereignty violation.

The ministry said Hargeisa is an integral, inseparable part of Somalia’s territory, adding any engagement without federal government consent is illegal, null, and void.

Somalia urged Israel to immediately stop actions undermining the country’s territorial integrity, and requested UN, African Union, and other partners reaffirm support for sovereignty.

The statement emphasized Somalia’s commitment to peaceful diplomacy and adherence to international law, while reserving all necessary rights to protect national unity legally.
