MOGADISHU, Somalia –Somalia has condemned the drone attack on the Saudi Hospital in El Fasher, North Darfur, Sudan, leaving dozens of civilians dead and wounded.
In a statement, the foreign ministry said the attack violates international humanitarian law and humanitarian principles.
“Somalia reaffirms its complete rejection of acts that violate humanitarian values and international laws,” the ministry said.
It also stressed the need to protect civilians and health facilities, which are an essential cornerstone for humanitarian stability during crises.
Somalia extended condolences to Sudan and the victims’ families, praying for the recovery of the injured and peace in Sudan.
“May Allah shower them with his mercy, grant the wounded a speedy recovery and grant peace and stability to Sudan,” the ministry said.
