Somalia: Car bomb injures 3 people in Mogadishu

MOGADISHU – At least three people have been injured in car bomb explosion in Somalia’s capital Mogadishu, a witness said.

The explosion went off on Monday after bomb fitted into car exploded near Sinai junction in the capital, leaving three people injured, a witness, Hassan Mohamed said.

The explosion was intended to assassinate an employee of Somali Airline and eye wittiness who call himself Mohamed says the victims had been taken into hospital for medical treatments.

It remains unknown who was carrying the exploded vehicle.

Somali security forces have arrived at the scene of the bomb attack and launched an investigation over the explosion.

There was no immediate claim of responsibility for Monday’s explosion in Mogadishu.
