Somalia abstains from UNRHC vote against Israel’s ‘occupation’ of Golan Heights

MOGADISHU, Somalia – Somalia has mysteriously abstained from United Nations Human Rights Council vote condemning the Israeli occupation of Golan Heights.

In a statement, Somali government recalled its envoy to the United Nations Office at Geneva, Faduma Abdullahi, after she abstained from a vote condemning the Israeli occupation of Golan Heights.

The resolution, brought by Pakistan, was approved with 26 states in favor, 16 against and 5 abstentions.
