Somalia: 3 soldiers killed in explosion near Mogadishu
MOGADISHU, Somalia – A roadside bomb explosion targeting Turkish convoy has killed three Somali security soldiers near the capital, Mogadishu.
The explosion went off on Tuesday Elasha Biyaha area, just 15km west of Mogadishu, leaving three soldiers dead, a witness said.
Somali police confirms that the soldiers were part of security guards escorting Turkish engineers working for road construction linking Mogadishu and southern town of Afgoye..
No Turks were killed or injured in the explosion.
Somali armed group al Shabaab claimed the responsibility for the bomb attack.
