Somalia: 17 dead in fighting against Al Shabaab

At least 17 people have been killed in fighting between Shabaab militants and locals in the country’s central semi-autonomous region of Galmudug.

Somali state-run Radio reported that the fighting had been triggered by alleged al Shabaab conscription of teenagers into their ranks

The local villagers started to fight against Al Shabaab, in a bid save livea of their children.

However, Neither government officials nor Al Shabaab commented on the latest fighting in central Somalia.
