Somali President to attend OIC meeting in Mecca
MOGADISHU, Somalia – A high-level delegation led by Somali President Mohamed Abdullahi Mohamed has flown to Saudi Arabia’s capital, Riyadh.
Mr. Mohamed will attend the 14th summit of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) in the Saudi city of Mecca.
The OIC summit, which is scheduled to take place on May 31, will address “current issues in the Muslim world” and “recent developments in a number of OIC member states”, the official agenda states.
Mr. Mohamed has appointed his new envoy to Saudi before he departed from Somali capital Mogadishu.
