Somali President meets with UN political chief in Mogadishu
MOGADISHU, Somalia – The President of Federal Republic of Somalia Mohamed Abdullahi Mohamed has held talks with Rosemary A. DiCarlo of United States as Under-Secretary-General for Political Affairs at State House in Mogadishu.
Mohamed A. DiCarlo discussed on UN support for the government of Somalia, while continuing battling against Al Qaeda linked Al Shabaab.
Somali President Mohamed hails A. DiCarlo’s visit and the UN for its support to the weak-western backed government of Somalia.
He told Rosemary A. DiCarlo of United States as Under-Secretary-General for Political Affairs that his government considers the UN mission in Somalia.
Mohamed says he is committed to strengthening the partnership with the UN and the international community based on mutual respect and respect.
The visit comes a month after Somalia has expelled UN ambassador to Somalia Haysom, who was accused of interfering the political Somalia.
