Somali President meets with Qatar’s Amir in Doha
MOGADISHU, Somalia – The President of Somalia, Mohamed Abdullahi Mohamed (Farmajo) has held talks with Qatar’s Amir Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al Thani at the statehouse in Qatar’s capital, Doha
Mr. Mohamed and Al Thani discussed ways to develop and enhance bilateral relations between the two countries in various fields and encouraging and protecting mutual investments.
President Mohamed says Qatar and Somalia have much to achieve together while discussing on matters of importance to advance their development and progress.
Last year, Qatar donated $200 million to construct main highways linking Mogadishu to Afgoye and Jowhar, a key project that contributes to the country’s rebuilding process.
