Somali president inaugurates its new embassy in Washington
MOGADISHU, Somalia – The President of the Federal Republic of Somalia, Mohamed Abdullahi Mohamed has officially ribbon-cut its new embassy building in Washington D.C.
The inauguration ceremony was held on Friday, said in a statement released by Mogadishu.
The new embassy building located at Wyoming Avenue in Washington.
President Mohamed urged Somalis in the Diaspora to contribute in order to buy new buildings for diplomats and a consulate.
Somalia Finance Minister Abdirahman Duale Beileh confirms the country bought the new embassy building in Washington D.C. from Columbia government for $4.3 million.
