Somali President Hassan sheik is heading the Ethiopian resort town of Bahir Dar for 3rd Tana Forum President Hassan sheik mohamud arrived Today in the Ethiopian resort town of Bahir Dar, where the 3rd Tana Forum is set to kick off Saturday. The 3rd Tana High-Level Forum on Security in Africa is expected to be attended by 120 participants, including African heads of state and government, academics, and representatives of NGOs and regional and continental organizations. Hassan was welcomed at the Bahir Dar International Airport by Ethiopian Prime Minister Hailemariam Desalegn and other senior government officials. The two leaders exchanged views on possible means of enhancing cooperation between the two countries. They also discussed on how best to tackle the terror group alshabaab, where a Ethiopian troops that are under Unisom is waging war against Somali al-Qaida affiliated shabaab.

The two-day forum aims to create a platform for stakeholders to work towards effective African-led solutions to the continent’s security challenges, the event’s organizers said. Djiboutian President Omar Guelleh and Sudanese President Omar albashir are among the African leaders due to participate at the forum.
