Somali President flies to Italy’s capital
MOGADISHU – The President of Federal Republic of Somalia, Mohamed Abdullahi Mohamed known as Farmajo has paid a 3 day state visit to Italy’s capital Roma.
President Mohamed departed from Somali capital Mogadishu, after receiving an official invitation from Italy, according to a statement seen by Mareeg Online.
“Somalia and Italy maintained strong friendship based on mutual interests, trust and respect”, the statement said.
It further added that Italy is one of Somalia’s reliable allies.
Somali and Italian leaders will discuss on relations, economic, security and fighting against Al Qaeda linked Al Shabaab.
It is first visit paid by Somali President to Italy’s capital Rome, since he was elected as the president of Somalia.
