Somali president arrives in Russia

MOGADISHU, Somalia – A high-level delegation led by Somali President Mohamed Abdullahi Mohamed has arrived in Sochi for the first-ever Russia-Africa Economic Forum under the invitation of the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin.

The first Africa-Russia summit hosted Putin will take place in the Black Sea resort of Sochi on Wednesday and Thursday.

Mr. Mohamed and some 35 African leaders are also expected to attend the meeting

Moscow wants to bolster its relations with other African countries.

Somali president will also meet other African leaders on the sideline on the summit.
