Somali President Arrives in Ethiopia

Somali President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud arrived in the Ethiopian capital Addis Ababa on Saturday for talks with Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed, as both leaders seek to strengthen political and security cooperation.

The meeting focused on improving ties between the neighboring countries, with an emphasis on mutual respect, national sovereignty, and advancing shared development goals.

President Mohamud also touched on the need for stability in the Horn of Africa and called for closer collaboration to counter extremist groups operating across the region.

He said Somalia remains committed to regional partnerships aimed at promoting peace, securing borders, and reinforcing diplomatic relations with countries in East Africa
