Somali police soldiers have arrested two suspected Al Shabaab gunmen whom it says murdered a police soldier in Mogadishu.
The victim, whose name has been relased as Abdi Bocol was gunned down by hooded armed with pistols in Wadajir district of Mogadishu.
Police say the killers were captured while attempting to escape from the crime scene.
The two suspects were taken into police station for further interoggations.
No group says it carried out the assassination.
Somali armed group al Shabaab carried out similar attacks, including car bombings and assassinations in and out of the capital, Mogadishu.
The group, an al Qaeda affaliated cabal was driven out of the capital in 2011 after joint military operation carried out by Somali army and African Union peacekeeping force.
The group still holds large swaths in south and central of the country where it orchestrates its dreadful attacks on army base and the capital, Mogadishu.
On Tuesday, the UN said the group remains a potent threat to the horn of African Nation.
The militant group also carried out deadly attacks in neighboring nation of Kenya where it killed dozens.
