Somali PM attends 5th annual book fair in Mogadishu

MOGADISHU – The Somali capital, Mogadishu, has hosted an international book fair, the su5th annual event in the city which brought Authors, playwrights, poets, artists, and musician.

Somali Prime Minister Hassan Ali Khaire and thousands, including men and women, university students attended the three-day event which was held at hotel Sahal in Mogadishu.

Mr. Khaire says his country had week almost 3 decades, but “we have a fully functioning government that is well recognized internationally”.

“This fair is to revive the culture of writing and reading in our country”, said Mohamed Diini, the event organizer.

Sheikh Abubakar Mohamed, a participant delivering a moving talk to the audience addressed many important topics on how to live a happy life.

Sheikh Mohamed and his brothers Omar flew from Canada to attend the su5th annual Book Fair event in the capital of Mogadishu.

“More than 30 writers are gathered here. We brought

Books written by 20-years old talented boys were among thousands which were brought during the event.

The social media users run by Somalis have also been caught by the buzz, sharing photos.
