Somali PM arrives in Garowe
MOGADISHU, Somalia – Somali Prime Minister Hassan Ali Khaire and his delegates arrived on Friday in Garowe, the capital of Puntland.
Mr. Khaire was welcomed with red-carpet upon his arrival at the airport in Garowe town.
Garowe will be hosting a high level summit, which Puntland is going to bring Federal government and its member states in the negotiation table to iron out the long-running political differences.
The meeting will be discussed on national issues, including the security, resource sharing, electoral process, and the constitutional review process.
The country’s state leaders have earlier on Friday arrived in the town.
Puntland is playing key role in its best way to convince the two sides to work together, in a bid to strengthen efforts develop the war-ravaged nation of Somalia.
The meeting comes after regional state leaders boycotted to convene an urgent National Security Council summit proposed by Somali president, Mohamed Abdullahi Mohamed, which was scheduled to hold in Somali capital, Mogadishu.
