Somali parliament speaker forms team to end political crises
MOGADISHU – The speaker of Somali parliament, Mohamed Sheikh Osman Jawari has formed a meditative committee, a bid to end the current political crises in Mogadishu.
The embattled speaker of the parliament, Jawari declared seven Somali lawmakers, who will open talks with country’s leaders and his anti-Jawari camp led by the first deputy speaker Abdiweli Ibrahim Mudey.
The team is consisting of Abdulqadir Osoble, Mohamud Abdirahman [Bene Bene], Sadiya Said, Fowsiya Sheikh, Hassan Abdi and Ahmed Moalim Fiqi, according to sources.
The appointment came after the opposing sides within the parliament agreed to begin talks to seek a way out of the deepening political deadlock besetting the Horn of Africa country.
