Somali MP Abdirisak Mohamed has strongly condemned deadly suicide bomb –and-gun attack in the capital Mogadishu, leaving at least 12 people dead.
The attack started with suicide car bomb detonated at the gate Somalia’s Interior Ministry building in the capital on Saturday, a police officer, Hussein Mohamed said.
Hon. Mohamed has sent a strong message of solidarity to the people of Somali caught up in this barbaric attack which has claimed at least 12 lives.
He says, “Words cannot begin to express our revulsion at this hate crime. Our thoughts are with the survivors, many of whom are seriously injured, and the families of the victims”.
“Our hearts go out to our brothers and sisters at this terrible time. The scale of this attack is unimaginable, targeting men, women and children indiscriminately”, Mohamed added.
Mohamed says the response of the people to take to the streets and protest against such barbaric act is, though, truly inspiring.
“We will not let hate win”, he said.
Somali MP Mohamed has called on government to launch joint offensive to wipe out Al Qaeda linked Al Shabaab militants and ISIL group’s fighters in Somalia.
Saturday’s suicide attack was immediately claimed by Al Qaeda linked Al Shabab group, battling Westren-backed government of Somalia.
