Somali Disaster Management Agency (SoDMA ) has delivered crucial medical supplies to Adalle Hospital in Middle Shabelle region.
A delegation led by SoDMA leadership, Mohamud Moalim, visited the hospital to oversee the medical supplies handover.
The medical items are included bandages, surgical items, and pain relievers.
Moalim said the supplies will be used to treat Somali military soldiers and civilians wounded in the fight against Al Shabab.
“We’re ready to stand with our soldiers fighting Al Shabab. This response shows commitment to those affected by violence”, he said.
He said SoDMA will continue delivering medical supplies and essential services to frontline towns.
Dr. Osman Mohamed, Health Director for Adalle, the supplies will save lives and thanked SoDMA for the timely aid.
Meanwhile, Mayor of Adalle, Muse Mohamed Ahmed expressed gratitude to SoDMA for their swift support.
“The relief efforts are much-needed. Hospitals could struggle with casualties any moment”, he said.
Federal MP Gedo Omane commended SoDMA’s action, emphasizing national solidarity in times of crisis.
The timely delivery of supplies marks an important milestone in SoDMA’s relief efforts. The agency will continue providing aid.
